Great idea! We have a similar experience here in Ecuador, and the Coastal Resources Management Project has produced several publications dedicated to journalists in order to "demystify the fundamental principles, which often appear to be too technical for journalists". One thing we have learned is that we have to constantly update journalists and students; to do this we have used workshops and field trips, plus further publications which in a regular way we are distributing not only to journalists, but to communication students too. I do agree that the benefits of this effort will only be seen years later.
